ÇamlıcaOn the Asian shores of the Bosphorus there lies a high pine covered hill, atop which sits a restaurant. From here one can inhale the fresh Black Sea air, and possibly obtain the best views of the sprawling metropolis of istanbul. The best time for pictures with clarity is in the morning, but late afternoon offers glimpses on the city's skyline silhouetted against the setting sun while night fall ushers in an impressive portrait ol Istanbul as a city of twinkling lights. The Camlica Hill

Çamlıca Hill is by the Beylerbeyi Palace and it is one of the highest point of the Bosphorus and Istanbul. It is 263 m. high from the sea level. It was used as a picnic area. During the reign of Murat IV, a hunting villa was constructed here.
The Çamlıca  Hill  has a wonderful panorama including the Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus, the Historical Peninsula and the islands. In the early 1980s the Touring Automobile Association built a series of restaurants which include a Turkish cafe and a park. After the wedding ceremony newly wed couples come hereto drink tea with their relatives. (s4)
